GM Infotainment Technology
An Introduction to General Motors Infotainment Technology
Today's tech-savvy drivers want to stay connected when they're driving, without complications and without compromising their safety. This new generation of car buyers won't settle for mass market radios. They want to personalize their vehicle technology, as they do their own gadgets, and access their entertainment wherever they go.
Today's GM vehicles are now being built with simple, intuitive infotainment solutions that meet and even exceed our customer's needs, taking in-vehicle media personalization to a whole new level.
IntelliLink is now available on select models of the all-new Buick Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, and GMC Terrain. The CUE system will be standard on the new Cadillac XTS and ATS.
Both IntelliLink and CUE have a smart interface design that allows customers to take full advantage of their mobile devices keeping those devices safely stowed.
Three important features are at the heart of these new infotainment platforms:
- Colour Touch Screen - Simple intuitive (iPad like) icons on an available seven inch high resolution, full colour touch screen display.
- Integrated Bluetooth - Hands-free calling and voice access of contracts, with the added feature of audio streaming form connected devices, like an iPod.
- Voice Recognition -Enhanced hands-free voice control system. This allows simple voice commands to initiate phone calls, select radio stations, or access media for portable digital music players and smartphones.
